Simferopol International Airport is located next to Ukromnoye village, 16 km away from the center of Simferopol city.
The airport is among the top ten leading Russian airports based on the passenger flow that reached 5.1 million people in 2017.
During the spring-summer period flights from Simferopol Airport are carried out in 67 directions — to south, north, west and east of Russia, to Siberia and the Urals.
A new airport terminal, designed by one of the leading South Korean architecture and engineering firm, was opened in the spring of 2018. Designers used the image of the sea recreating the “Crimean wave”. That is why the terminal building is not consistent in height. It changes between 25 and 35 meters at different points. Two facades, both from landside and airside, are curved in all directions.

The passengers’ need for vertical transportation is satisfied by escalators by almost 100%. The vast majority of escalators are designed as an element of barrier-free environment meeting the requirements of visitors who find it difficult to move around: passengers with prams, disabled persons, elder people. The concept of barrier-free environment is applied both in the air terminal building and landside.
In 2018 Simferopol Airport for the third time received an “Air Gate of Russia” national award for “The Best Domestic Airport”.
